The Community Welfare Director is responsible for assisting the Chief Operations Officer and Development Secretary to run MCA’s Welfare Programs. This includes achieving monthly targets for the programs, running events, and reaching out to community members who are serviced by programs. Current Welfare programs can be found on the website programs page.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in running existing Welfare programs

  • Ensure monthly Program target achievement

  • Organize new Welfare Programs

  • Attend monthly in-person/online Team meetings

  • Attend weekly online Cabinet meetings

  • Check WhatsApp Group Messages Daily

  • Quick communication on texts and calls

Qualifications

  • Be able to commit 10 hours a month

  • Have basic computer skills in order to use task-management, flyer-making, and similar software

  • Have data connection and ability to use WhatsApp

  • Have driver’s license and car in order to get to/from places as need be

  • Fluency in English

  • Have connections to the local community and ability to speak and make friends with community members

Remuneration

  • Paid monthly as a stipend based on hours ($210 for 10 hours up to $1,200 for 80 hours)

  • Payments distributed through Zelle to Bank Account

  • Estimated $21/hr based on time (starting at 10hrs) expected to achieve targets outside of meetings

  • Time records must be kept

  • Payment distributed on the basis of completion of monthly targets and effort (time spent) in case targets are incomplete

  • Opportunities for promotions/raises/increased time based on performance
